How To Draw A Alien Ship
With growing evidence that we are far from alone in the universe, the urge to understand and communicate with alien life has become increasingly popular amongst scientists, astronauts, and sci-fi fans alike. Now is your chance to play your part, and draw your very own alien in a spaceship!

Step by Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start with a black liner, and add a large semi-circle line, curving downwards, just to the right of the center of the page.
2.
Next, join the two bottom corners of the line together with another curved line.
3.
Just beneath the line you just drew, create a large, curved oval shape. This will be the bottom of your spaceship!
4.
Divide the bottom of the spaceship into five sections, by drawing four curved lines heading downwards.
5.
Now, add one small, curved rectangle within each of the sections.
6.
Inside each of these rectangles, add a small circle.
7.
Next, add a series of small dots all around the bottom curve of the spaceship. Leave these unfilled for now; these will be the landing lights!

Next, at a small curved semi-circle, with the corners curving upwards, to the bottom of the spaceship. Then, add two small bumps, one on either side, to the bottom of this curve.
9.
Now, return to the top half of the spaceship. In the center draw a small circle.
10.
Now we need some aliens! Inside the circle you just drew, add a small eye peeking out at the top by drawing a small circle, filling in the bottom half and leaving a small dot at the top of this. Beneath this eye, add two curved lines, the top one slightly larger than the bottom.

Now, add two short lines poking out on the right hand side of the main circle. At the end of these draw a small semi-circle with an oval on the end – this one of the alien's suckers!

Now, Repeat this on the other side by drawing another sucker coming out to the left.
13.
Give your alien a body by drawing two curved lines flicking down and out to form tentacles or arms, and then flicking the line back in to form a body.
14.
Grab a green pen, and use this to fill in the body of your alien.
15.
Switch to a yellow pen, and fill in the circles on the spaceship.
16.
Now, switch to a blue pen, add fill in the top rim of the spaceship. Then, add a series of small crescent shapes inside the rectangles, curving around the central circle
17.
Grab a cyan pen, and use this to fill in the main body of the spaceship.
18.
Next, take a blue pen, and fill in the crescent shapes around the central circles.
19.
Use a darker cyan pen to outline these crescent shapes.
20.
Return to the cyan pen, and draw a curved line to the right hand side of the top of the spaceship. Fill this in with the cyan color.
21.
Now, take a gray pencil, and add a long thin oval shape which follows the curve of the left hand side of the spaceship. On either side of this, draw two small circles.
22.
Finally, grab a gray pencil, and gently shade in the rest of the top of the spaceship. Use a tissue to smudge this, so that you achieve a smooth, even shade.
So there we have it; you may have just created one of our first interactions with extraterrestrial beings – who knows what might be about to happen…

In December 2020, researchers and experts in space announced that there was a recording of a mysterious, unexplained beam of energy at 980 megahertz, in the radio part of the electromagnetic spectrum – and it was coming from the closest star to our own planet.
Proxima Centauri is just 4.2 lightyears away – practically local in intergalactic terms – and hosts a single gas giant, and a rocky planet which is around 17% larger than Earth. The conditions are suitable for water to exist in a liquid form, suggesting life is possible, and the recent communications could suggest that this is more than a hypothetical theory…
The presence of unexplained debris in space only lends weight to this theory; three years ago, scientists came across an unexplained cigar-shaped object in the solar system. They named it 'Oumuamua', and the accepted theory is that this was some form of standard comet.
What is less standard, however, is the fact that the debris was accelerating – almost as though something were pushing and propelling it forward. While many scientists have come up with explanations for this, including hydrogen ice, the mystery remains, and as technology advances, there is a strong suggestion that we are sharing this vast space with someone – or something – else.
